Hours of research, hours fighting the tearing effect with a nVidia Optimus in Linux ...
FINALLY I found the solution:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash nvidia-drm.modeset=1"
Giving one more arg to the kernel loading ... to force PRIME
Also learned what PRIME is, the nVidia GPU is not in fact connected to the screen, only to the iGPU (intel in this case) and streaming the content to it. Then the iGPU output it to the screen.

Some interesting companies stopping their services "because of GDPR".
Like a IoT lightbulb ... a lightbulb ... or razer mouse program. This is crazy.

Here, have a new Drake inspired Leonidas meme template:
Oh for the love of...
@MightyPork But can we actually please not? Next thing you need a rich text editor, categories, edit history, collaborative writing
Stop
Keep software simple and concerns separated. It's already pretty great that a macroblogging software can be part of the same network as a microblogging software

If it is easier to kick someone out than to go through a difficult series of conversations with them, it is not a community. Among the societies that had real communities, exile was the most extreme sanction possible, tantamount to killing them. On many levels, losing the community and all the relationships it involved was the same as dying. Letβs not kid ourselves: we donβt have communities."
Main effect of GDPR so far is getting fucking bombarded by google e-mails
Oh shit.

As if macro viruses weren't enough now we can worry about spreadsheets having crypto-mining malware.
This is not the future I signed up for.
one of the things i forget to do pretty often is visualize good outcomes, but it's so helpful to me to do so
i think it's important though to give yourself that chance though, to consider what it looks like if the things that worry you work out
they might be more possible or likely than you think
i certainly wish i'd listened when i was first taught this
tfw when you're trying to figure out a problem and your own (unanswered) stack exchange question from several months ago is one of the top results π
@Balor 2021(b) Left a voicemail with your spouse that you'd be working late. Based on the psychological profile from your email and social media, your assistant discussed with other bots (.1 millisecond long conversation - very long with lots of deliberation) and the group decided you were unhappy with that relationship but couldn't admit it and needed a change.
Open Source voice assistant #Mycroft (yes an actual open source alternative of Amazon Alexa and Google Home) has not only almost hit 800% of its Indiegogo funding in Feb, but has recently switched to #Mozilla's #DeepSpeech project.
Deep Speech is just one of over a hundred projects taking part in #MozSprint May 10-11. They're especially seeking voices of NON ENGLISH speakers.
More new contributors added to these open projects = more real world innovative alternatives.
Apparently I took this #photo while in the passenger side of some car, at some point, and some where I don't remember...
