I've used #RIF app for 99% or more of my Reddit experience, but after today that is sadly coming to an end.
For the last 7-8 years I've been using the free app, but today I purchased the "golden platinum" edition as a thank you to the devs.
Honestly I should've done this from the very beginning, but I'm pretty cheap.
Okay, so I'm generally reluctant to jump on bandwagons without first hand knowledge and therefore, after the death of RIF yesterday, I installed the official Reddit app for the first time to see if it really was as bad as people say.
Oh boy I was not prepared. It's awful. It's eye-wateringly corporate. There's irrelevant suggested content and disguised ads. The focus doesn't feel like it's on the content itself, but more about keeping you scrolling.
I don't plan to continue using it.
@karlexceed It’s so terrible.
