Would love to say this is how I'm spending the afternoon, but in reality I managed maybe 20 minutes before the fear of wasps had me scurrying back indoors.
Still, it does the pasty white legs good to get outside, now and again!

We went to see a gallery opening tonight and honestly I am still so mad at the fucker who used two giant knitting needles as hanger for a macrame net like my dude that is not how any of this works.

My wavy stripes stole is finished! Unblocked, the stole is about 160 cm / 63" long, I expect it will be nice and big after blocking
I don't know if I have opined before that #knitting is better at giving "art deco" than "art nouveau" which is a shame, because I like art nouveau better. Anyway, here's a knitting that does art nouveau well:
Neat last stitch
I have to say, this has never been a problem for me—most of what I make gets seamed, so the last stitch is usually hidden. But since I was asked, here’s a quick trick for a neat final stitch in knitting.
This is why you should unsubscribe from all newsletters, ESPECIALLY your favourite designers. Now I have to knit two fingering weight cardigans and my mum wants hers in black
Nouveau Cardigan by Lucy Hague, inspired by the art nouveau windows at Glasgow University Gardens.
Uh oh. Caitlin Hunter just dropped another pattern that I'd love to knit but wouldn't dare to wear, no matter how much I might be in the mood for serving fish
A reel of all the British Birds colourways. Those re-dyed for Spring into Wool are Robin, Blue Tit, Green Woodpecker, and Kingfisher. If you are hoping to see the bird or cat yarn at the show please stop by first thing as they are very popular just now. May I also suggest that you not put bird and cat yarn in the same bag?!?

I've got a new pattern out! Mystic Beach is a twisted stitch cowl with a Möbius twist, worked in madelinetosh Pashmina.
The pattern includes illustrated tutorials for the k2tog/ssk twisted stitch technique I used to make the stitches stand out, and for the crocheted provisional cast on. It also includes information about the yarn structure and choosing good substitute yarns.
Mystic Beach is available on Ravelry https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/mystic-beach and Payhip https://payhip.com/b/uinzf

"What's your KNITTING SKILL LEVEL? Test how good a knitter you really are!"
This was fun, he talks through the test and gives all the levels.

Just had a very relaxing meditative moment, sorting my yarn scraps by color and bagging up in a clean zip bag. These maintenance tasks of the craft can be so rewarding.

I was a Really Big Girl yesterday and managed to get a video published despite feeling awful.
So today is going to be #knitting, #speedpuzzling videos, and excessive amounts of tea. I'll pay for it with extra work later ofc, but it's needed right now.
The last few days was the "crippling depression, avoid everyone and everything and curl up into a ball and cry" phase of my post-social-event cycle, but as you can tell by the fact I'm tooting again the worst has now passed. Phew
Let's see if I can finish the second sleeve of my #TopperCardigan by the end of the weekend...
