I've been using small keyboard remote things made for HTPCs as a wireless
keyboard/mouse for embedded systems I work on. It's far easier to change a
small USB dongle than replugging a couple of wires. And it's a really compact
keyboard/mouse so it doesn't clutter up my desk very much.
Normally I use SSH to access these systems, but sometimes you need a local
keyboard for getting around in a TTY.
I'm sure I'm not the first one to realize how perfect these remote keyboard
things are for this...
